How do I sign up?

Easy! Go to our website, pick your sport, choose your league, and register as a team captain, free agent, or small group. If you’re flying solo, we’ll do our best to place you on a team.

What if I don’t have a team?

Sign up as a free agent, and we’ll find you a team. It’s a great way to meet new people, and who knows—you might just end up on a championship squad! We also have a group on Facebook dedicated to our leagues, which is a perfect spot to get more involved. The group is called SSA Free Agent Board.

How much does it cost?

League fees vary by sport and are generally broken down by team fees. Umpire/ref fees are extra and usually work out to just a couple of bucks per player per game. This is something the team captain typically organizes.

How old do you have to be to join a league?

You must be at least 18 years old to play in our leagues. Sorry, no exceptions—gotta wait until you're legal to dominate the field!

What skill levels are available?

We offer everything from "just here for fun" to "I take this way too seriously." Check the league descriptions to find your vibe.

Where are the games played?

Games are held at local parks, fields, and sports complexes in Liverpool, Syracuse, and surrounding areas. Our main kickball fields are the SSA AVERDI fields next to The Spinning Wheel, which is also where you can find our main office.

Do we get team shirts?

Yep! We now offer the Vintage SSA Team Shirt as an add-on at sign-ups. Otherwise, your team can wear matching shirts of your own. We also have plans to launch a fully customizable team jersey store in the future—stay tuned!

Can we bring spectators or kids?

Absolutely! Friends, family, and even your co-worker who just wants to drink beer and pretend they’re athletic are all welcome. Just check venue rules, and if you bring kids, keep an eye on them—we don’t do babysitting.

What happens if it rains?

We try to update the website by 4 PM on game days and send out a mass text if games are canceled. If the weather’s looking sketchy, check online before heading out!

What do I need to bring?

Proper footwear, any sport-specific gear, a good attitude (don’t be that guy), and maybe a post-game beverage (if allowed by the facility).

What if my team is short players?

If you know in advance that you can’t field a team, let us know at least 6-24 hours ahead of time. If you bail last minute, you’ll be hit with a forfeit fee (the ump costs for both teams) because, well, the umps still have to get paid!

How long do seasons last?

Most leagues run 6-8 weeks, plus playoffs. Most leagues allow all teams to make the playoffs.

Do you offer private or corporate leagues?

Yep! We can set up leagues for businesses, parties, charity events, and more. We have fields. We have equipment. We have FUN! Hit us up, and let’s make it happen.

Can I get a refund if I can’t play?

Sorry, no refunds—but you can find a replacement player to take your spot. Life happens, we get it!
